The A-line shape provides fit across the bust then floats away around the hips. Longer length in the back ensures coverage; a shirt-tail hemline (fabric is cut in a curve, higher over the hips) ensures the line doesn't cut across the wearer's body but instead creates a softened visual effect; and the medium U neckline is wrapped for a polished finish.
