Everything began with a pair of leggings…Back in spring of 2014 Laura’s friend started a leggings company, SweetLegs Clothing Inc in Kelowna BC. Laura ( Mom of 5 ) ordered some for her daughters and was blown away by the soft fabric, fun patterns and stretchy fit. She and her friend created a new sales model and Laura became the first Independent Distributor for SweetLegs. Sold at Home Parties, and out of Laura’s basement shop, word spread like wildfire. Dozens of women a day were stopping by her house to get in on the latest trend. By fall of 2014 the business had outgrown the basement, so Laura rented a small commercial space in Forest Lawn and Sweet Boutique was born! On opening day there were SweetLegs, a small display of bracelets and some lotions for sale. Sales were great but women were looking for long tops to cover their bum so Laura looked for complimentary pieces to bring in. Grace and Lace was the next brand to come in, and soon she started seeking out locally made and unique clothing, accessories and jewelery. Sweet Boutique was growing…Two years later it was evident that they’d outgrown their little shop. In August of 2017 the store was moved to its current larger location on St. Albert trail. Following a Webstore that was added in spring of 2020.
